Safety at home and for your boat
Moreton Bay Council has asked that we share this information in anticipation of the potential impacts of Tropical Cyclone Alfred:
Advice provided by MSQ, titled: ‘Get your boat ready for severe weather’ (link here). This is particularly relevant to boat owners who may be in need of specific guidance on storm preparation and readiness.
Additionally, MSQ has a ‘Dashboard’ with marine warnings and contingency planning advice (https://www.qldmaritime.msq.qld.gov.au/).
Finally, City of Moreton Bay also has its’ own ‘Disaster Dashboard’ – (https://disaster.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/), which provides emergency news, details of road conditions, weather warnings, evacuation centres etc.
Please be safe during this cyclone. Secure your boat, pontoon and home (tie or remove any loose outdoor items that could become missiles) and assist your neighbours who may not be able to do so.
